Hugo Lloris “dreams” about reaching the Champions League with Tottenham, insists head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Amidst rumours this week that the Spurs goalkeeper is soon set to speak with club officials over his future at White Hart Lane, the Tottenham boss was quick to deny these allegations.
Pochettino said in his pre-match press conference: “There’s been no change from six months ago when we spoke about the rumour.
“Hugo wants to play the Champions League here for Tottenham and these rumours are nothing true.”
Speaking ahead of the important clash with Southampton this week, the former Saints boss told the media that the French goalkeeper is happy in North London.
“He is happy here and wants to reach the Champions League with Tottenham that is his dream.”
Heading into the transfer season it is impossible to predict what the future may hold for Hugo Lloris. In the mean time, it seems Pochettino is confident of holding onto his star keeper.
