Reports on Wednesday from various sources indicated that Tottenham were about to jump ahead of Liverpool in the race for Burnley forward Danny Ings.
The England Under-21 attacker has for some time now been linked with a move to North London, and this week Sky Sports and several other sources believed this could become a reality.
Ings’ contract expires at the beginning of July, meaning there are several methods Spurs could take to sign the youngster.
Sky Sports reported that Mauricio Pochettino could be lining up a £12million bid, although the Independent said that Tottenham were trying to agree a £6million compensation deal with Burnley for Danny Ings.
Reports on Thursday now understand that Tottenham have had a bid accepted for the young forward, believed to be in the region of £12million.
The Daily Mail believe Spurs are now able to speak to the youngster from Monday about a move to the club, despite his preference being a move to Anfield.
