A friend of Burnley striker Danny Ings says that he “wouldn’t bank” on the forward joining either Tottenham or Liverpool this summer.
Speaking to the striker on Twitter, Tom Hill engaged in a conversation with the England U21 striker in which Ings made fun of the Aston Villa fan, a side Burnley conquered 1-0 on the final day of the season.
In further replies to the conversation, Hill told @SpursViews_ that Ings would join “somewhere decent” in the summer, suggesting that this was not either Anfield or White Hart Lane.
According to reports this week, Ings will reject a move to Mauricio Pochettino’s side in favour of a move to Liverpool, despite Spurs reportedly having agreed a £12million move for the forward.
Whether the goal-scorer chooses Tottenham or Liverpool remains to be seen, with Monday said to be ‘decision day’ over his future.
