Mauricio Pochettino confirmed after Tottenham’s 1-0 victory over Sydney FC that goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will stay at the club this summer.
Lifting two trophies for the club this week, Lloris has been the centre of attention in the media with clubs such as Manchester United reportedly chasing the Frenchman.
But the Spurs boss put to bed these rumours, saying that the goalkeeper is happy at the club.
Pochettino told reporters: “There have been a lot of rumours, but Hugo wants to stay with us and we are happy with him too.”
The Argentine continued to say: “He (Hugo) is happy and everything else is just rumour.”
With Andre Villas-Boas expressing similar remarks before the inevitable departure of Gareth Bale in 2013, Spurs fans will be hoping that Pochettino and Levy are true to their word this time around.
