Reported Tottenham target and Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has admitted that he watches the North Londoner’s on television to see his international team-mates play.
Speaking in this month’s FourFourTwo, the midfielder said that he watches the Premier League to keep an eye on his Belgian friends.
The Belgian said: “It’s certainly the most talked-about competition in the world.
“I regularly watch the games of my Belgian friends at Chelsea and Spurs, and there are a lot of world-class players.”
Nainggolan was linked with a move to Tottenham back in May, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side looked to take advantage of Franco Baldini’s Roma links once again.
Despite admitting his fondness of the Premier League, which has grown in Belgian numbers in recent seasons, the midfielder was quick to praise Italian football also.
Nainggolan said: “But don’t underestimate Italian football. The fact there were three Italian sides and no English team in the semi-finals of European competitions this year says it all.”
Could Tottenham take advantage of his interest in the Premier League and their Belgian connections to sign him this summer?
