Fernando Llorente REJECTS Arsenal for Tottenham Hotspur

CJfdBCUWUAA07CbJuventus striker Fernando Llorente has reportedly chosen Tottenham Hotspur over the likes of rivals Arsenal and Liverpool to complete a move this summer.

The story comes from the less-than-reliable Metro, however is derived from Italian reports, who earlier this week claimed that Spurs were close to completing a deal for the striker.

The Metro claimed Tottenham have agreed a £10.7million fee for the Spain international, and understood that Mauricio Pochettino could offer him a starring role at Spurs next season.

The Daily Express picked the story up also, claiming that the forward is ‘is keen to play as much as possible prior to Euro 2016’.

A move from Spurs for the striker is perhaps out-dated, given that they have been linked to his services for some time. However, could this be the summer for Spurs to seal-the-deal?

If Llorente can benefit and assist Kane (both on and off the pitch) then let’s go for it.
Hopefully a move will also resurrect Llorente’s ambition and desire ..even if his levels
are high (as Ade’s was) for only one and a half seasons. It would still be a good investment.

  2. He’d still be a great signing for Spurs. He could play second fiddle to Kane but having worked under Bielsa for years and at 6’5 he’d be a much better fit for the shape of our team than Soldado. Alternatively, Eriksen could find himself having to compete for a place on the wing if we played Kane behind Llorente. However, I can’t see the signing happening until we find a buyer for Adebayor or Soldado.

    Reject Arsenal indeed. LOL

I think at the price reported, he’s a good buy. He will be a much more mentally stable version of Ade.

If we could get him and Charlie Austin, I think we’d be set on strikers.
