The Football Association respond to Tottenham Hotspur fans over Wembley move

WembleyThe FA have responded to emails by Spurs fans pushing the governing body to allow the club to move to the home of football during their new stadium works.

The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust encouraged fans last week to email FA Chairman Greg Dyke, suggesting that the club should move to Wembley Stadium during building in N17.

In an email to TalkingTHFC, FA Customer Relations official Simon Bower outlined that the governing body are unable to comment over the situation

Bower stated: “we wouldn’t ever comment on confidential commercial matters.

“We’d suggest that for any updates that you speak directly to the club in question.”

The FA clearly are yet to make a decision over the matter, with reports suggesting that Chelsea are also requesting permission to use Wembley whilst Stamford Bridge undergoes further improvements.

Hopefully, the persistent work of thousands of Spurs fans in lobbying the FA Chairman will make a difference in our pursuit of a temporary home.

  1. RB says:

If it is just for one season why arent we looking at The Olympic Stadium?, The Cockneys are paying £2M rent aren`t they?, so £10M less than Wembley, the cost of a decent full back or so. Better option than MK anyhow (45min walk from the station)
