Tottenham Hotspur open negotiations with Sevilla over striker

Roberto-Soldado-mistake-against-FiorentinaThe Mirror and Express understand Tottenham Hotspur have opened negotiations with Sevilla over the sale of striker Roberto Soldado.

The Express understand Sevilla are willing to match Soldado’s £40,000-a-week wages after tax as they search for a replacement for Carlos Bacca, with the Mirror claiming Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wants £11million for the forward.

Soldado has endured a torrid time at White Hart Lane, failing miserably to match the goalscoring prowess he adopted at former club Valencia.

If the striker completes the move back to Spain, he will have become the third of Tottenham’s ‘magnificent seven’ to leave the club this summer alone, alongside Paulinho and Etienne Capoue.
