Football Association chief executive Martin Glenn says he is happy for Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea to use Wembley Stadium whilst their respective stadiums undergo work.
Glenn says the FA would be “supportive” of any temporary move, after it was reported on Wednesday that the FA would not stand in the way of Spurs using the home of football.
“I won’t comment on clubs but if that’s an opportunity then we will follow it,” Glenn said.
“It’s in our interest as an association for clubs to redevelop their grounds, make superb facilities and if it’s possible to help them in that transition by using Wembley, we are absolutely supportive of that.”
Spurs had previously considered using Stadium:mk for their temporary move, however a negative fan response has suggested that the club will not use the home of MK Dons.
